Journey to Your Promised Land's vision is to transcend poverty throughout the world by: increasing access to educational resources; promoting community leadership and involvement; and providing scholarships and/or grants to individuals for educational or entrepreneur purposes. We accomplish our vision by providing educational information, resources, advocacy, and training to all women and youth across the world which will empower and inspire them to move beyond immediate obstacles and take the journey towards their promised land. Erick Memorial Foundation for Education and Rehabilitation for Disabled (EMFERD), is the registered NGO to operate within Tanzania Mainland, which is non for profit, non religious, and gender free organization. EMFERD was established in honor of the devastating life of the Late Erick Samamkalami who had multiple disabilities caused by Cerebral Palsy and Meningitis fever. The disability of Erick inspired his Mother to fight tireless for the needs and rights of intellectually disabled children from 1989 to eventually starting a Centre of people with disabilities in 1992.

​EMFERD is aiming at offering support in terms of quality education, rehabilitation and general welfare of persons with disabilities, and that their rights are respected in and outside Tanzania.
